About the training workshop<\/strong><\/span>
This course is intended to strengthen participants\u2019 knowledge of M&E concepts and ability to set up an effective M&E system. If you would like to get acquainted with nuts and bolts of Monitoring and evaluation, the relationship between the latter and research then this course is for you. The course is structured around four (4) critical areas:<\/span>
1. introduction to fundamentals of M&E\u00a0<\/span>
2. Digital data collection (also known as mobile data collection)<\/span>
3. Data analysis using SPSS<\/span>
4. Data presentation using infographics\u00a0<\/span>
\n
Upon completion of the course, participants should be able to:<\/span>
\u2022 Define key concepts as used in M&E\u00a0<\/span>
\u2022 Understand how to set M&E questions<\/span>
\u2022 Develop an M&E plan for a development project<\/span>
\u2022 Write a good project progress report and success stories<\/span>
\u2022 Explain the features of the good M&E framework<\/span>
\u2022 Collect data using ODK mobile app<\/span>
\u2022 Analyze data using SPSS and or Stata<\/span>
\u2022 Articulate different evaluation methods and the debate around counterfactual\u00a0<\/span>
\u2022 Demonstrate emerging trends and best practices in M&E<\/span>
\u2022 Present data using infographics<\/span>
